Program Description

The Bachelor of International Trade and Investment at Faculty of Economics, SIMAD University is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate global trade, investment strategies, and economic diplomacy complexities. The curriculum integrates key areas such as international trade policies, foreign direct investment, global supply chain management, trade finance, and cross-border business regulations. Students develop analytical and strategic competencies to assess market opportunities, manage trade risks, and foster sustainable economic growth.

Through case studies, simulations, and industry collaborations, the program prepares graduates for careers in international business, trade facilitation, investment analysis, and economic policy. Emphasis is placed on understanding global economic trends, trade agreements, and investment climates, enhancing Somalia’s integration into the global economy.

Program Objectives

The program aims to:

  1. Provide a solid foundation in international trade theories, investment principles, and global economic systems.
  2. Develop analytical skills to assess trade policies, investment opportunities, and market entry strategies.
  3. Equip students with practical tools for trade negotiations, risk management, and financial decision-making in international markets.
  4. Foster an understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing cross-border trade and investment.
  5. Promote research and innovation in trade logistics, export-import strategies, and foreign investment attraction.
