DR. Husein Osman Abdullahi is the University Registrar and a Senior Lecturer at SIMAD University. He holds a BSc in Information Technology from SIMAD University (2009) and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) (2013). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Systems at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Husein is an experienced leader with a strong passion for empowering individuals and communities through access to information, communication, and technology. Over the years, he has taught various courses in the field of ICT, including E-commerce, E-procurement, E-Banking, Management Information Systems (MIS), Systems Analysis and Design (SAD), Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and IT Project Management ICT in agriculture. He served as the Regional Coordinator for Web 2.0 and social media workshops certified by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) in the Netherlands. At SIMAD University, Mr. Husein has held several key administrative positions, including:

• Deputy Dean, Admissions & Records
• Director, Admissions & Records

He has contributed to the publication of numerous articles in the field of ICT and has a particular interest in ICT for agriculture, open data, artificial intelligence in education, and open access to education.
