Biography
Mohamed Osman A. Idris is a faculty member at the Faculty of Education, SIMAD University, where he is actively engaged in research and teaching in several key areas of educational development. His scholarly interests encompass quality education, teacher education, curriculum studies, instructional design, educational psychology, guidance and counselling, and cognitive science. He has contributed significantly to the academic discourse on education in Somalia, with a strong focus on post-conflict educational reform and the enhancement of teaching and learning environments. His most recent publication, titled “The Effect of the School Environment on the Provision of Quality Education: A Study of Schools in Mogadishu, Somalia” (https://doi.org/10.3389/feduc.2025.1541502), explores how physical and psychosocial school conditions influence the delivery of quality education in urban Somali settings.
