MSc in Public Health

Program Overview

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a professional graduate program tailored to train competent public health leaders who can address complex health issues in fragile, low-resource, and post-conflict settings like Somalia. The program offers two specializations:
– Epidemiology

– Health Policy & Management

The MPH equips students with essential skills in research, epidemiology, policy formulation, health systems management, and public health leadership. It aligns with national health priorities and international frameworks such as Universal Health Coverage (UHC), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and global health security.

Mode of Study

The MPH is delivered over two academic years (Six semesters), offered in both Physical and online formats. The learning mode includes:

  • Traditional classroom sessions
  • Online/blended components
  • Field-based practicum
  • Supervised dissertation research

Graduates of the MPH program will be able to:

  • Apply core principles of public health in diverse settings.
  • Design and conduct research to address public health problems.

Registration Fee
• A non-refundable fee of USD $100 (to be paid via bank draft)
